As in 2015, the aim of the 2016 Australasian Aid Conference is to bring together researchers from across Australia, the Pacific and Asia who are working on aid and international development policy to share insights, promote collaboration, and help develop the research community.

 

Call for papers

The call for papers is now closed. We welcomed papers from academics and practitioners on the following topics:

  • Aid effectiveness, at both the micro and macro level
  • The political economy and politics of aid
  • Aid and security
  • Aid from traditional and/or non-traditional donors
  • International public goods
  • Migration and international trade policy, from a development perspective
  • The international aid and development architecture, including the G20, World Bank, and other international agencies
  • International climate change negotiations and architecture

Registration

Registration includes all conference sessions and keynotes, morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas, as well as conference materials.

Due to overwhelming demand, registrations are now closed.

Full and shared registration:

Full-price: $300 – GST inclusive
Full-price with dinner: $330 – GST inclusive

Student registration:

Student full price: $165 – GST Inclusive
Student full price with dinner: $210 GST Inclusive

Conference dinner only: $60 – GST Inclusive

Shared Registration

Organisations have the option of registering under the Shared Registration category, whereby a single registration can be shared amongst multiple delegates from a single organisation. Please note that the Shared Registration category applies only if different delegates decide to attend different panels.

One delegate should be appointed as the contact person for the shared registration. All names of delegates under the shared registration must be provided to macarena.rojas@anu.edu.au no later than one week prior to the conference (Wednesday February 3). Once we receive an email from the contact person, we will send further details about shared registration.

This conference is presented by the Asia Foundation and the Development Policy Centre at Crawford School of Public Policy, The Australian National University.

Macarena Rojas

Macarena Rojas is a Program Officer at the Development Policy Centre. She studied journalism and has a background in program coordination. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Studies from The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
