Femili PNG seeks Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Officer

Femili PNG is a PNG NGO which runs a Case Management Centre in Lae for survivors of family and sexual violence, and which Devpolicy supports on a pro bono basis. Femili PNG is currently seeking a Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Officer for its team in Lae.

The position will help develop relationships and strategic partnerships with key government, non-government and private sector partners, and strengthen coordination, communication, outreach and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications and experience (desirable):

  1. Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  2. Demonstrated abilities in the areas of stakeholder engagement and communications/fundraising.
  3. Well-developed understanding of the family and sexual violence landscape, particularly provision of services to survivors of family and sexual violence.
  4. Very strong interpersonal skills, including results-orientation and client-orientation, and clear and concise written and oral communications skills.
  5. Ability to organise and manage busy workloads within specified timeframes.
  6. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
  7. Knowledge and experience in using MS Office, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint.

Ashlee Betteridge

Ashlee Betteridge was the Manager of the Development Policy Centre until April 2021. She was previously a Research Officer at the centre from 2013-2017. A former journalist, she holds a Master of Public Policy (Development Policy) from ANU and has development experience in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. She now has her own consultancy, Better Things Consulting, and works across several large projects with managing contractors.
