Video tales from PNG about gender violence and service delivery woes

Oxfam in PNG has recently launched a Facebook page, and they have been sharing some interesting content.

This video, from the Nana Kundi Crisis Centre in Maprik in East Sepik Province, shares stories from those working on the front lines against the epidemic levels of gender violence in PNG. This is an issue we follow closely at Devpolicy as part of work to establish a case management centre for family and sexual violence survivors in Lae.

This video from Watang village in Madang shares some of the frustrations faced by people in remote villages in accessing assistance and services–challenges identified by research in our PNG Promoting Effective Public Expenditure project. Our next budget forum will be held in Port Moresby on September 19.
