Invitation: Blog writing workshop for PNG and Pacific students in Canberra

Are you a Papua New Guinean or Pacific student studying in Canberra? Have you considered writing for our blog but want further information about what this involves?

Established in September 2010, the Devpolicy Blog (www.devpolicy.org) provides a platform for the best in aid and development analysis, research and policy comment, with a focus on Australia, the Pacific and Papua New Guinea. As of early 2016, Devpolicy has published nearly 1,400 blogs from more than 460 contributors. The blog is run out of the Development Policy Centre housed at Crawford School of Public Policy at The Australian National University.

In recent years, the blog has published posts on a variety of issues in Papua New Guinea and the region, such as: the PNG economy, politics, gender-based violence, education, health, corruption, the private sector, the Australia-PNG relationship, Pacific regionalism, and more.

If you have been thinking about writing for the blog and wish to find out more then we would like to invite you to attend a blog writing workshop at Seminar Room 8, Crawford School of Public Policy, on Thursday 7th April 10.30-12.30.

Ashlee Betteridge
Ashlee Betteridge was the Manager of the Development Policy Centre until April 2021. She was previously a Research Officer at the centre from 2013-2017. A former journalist, she holds a Master of Public Policy (Development Policy) from ANU and has development experience in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. She now has her own consultancy, Better Things Consulting, and works across several large projects with managing contractors.
