screen-shot-2016-11-02-at-1-48-41-pmA reminder to our friends in Port Moresby that the 2016 PNG Update will be held this week on Thursday and Friday (3-4 November) at the University of Papua New Guinea.

Participation in the conference is free and all are welcome to attend.

The annual PNG Update is the premier forum for the discussion of research and analysis relating to contemporary economic and public policy issues in PNG. Organised by the University of Papua New Guinea’s School of Business and Public Policy and the ANU Development Policy Centre, the 2016 PNG Update will feature presentations in three parallel sessions at several venues across the University of Papua New Guinea (Waigani Campus), Port Moresby.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Sustaining development beyond the resources boom’.

If you attend the conference, you will also be able to grab a copy of our new blog compilation book Economics and governance in PNG: Devpolicy Blog posts in 2015-16 (first in best dressed – a limited number of booklets are available). For those who can’t make it to the conference, you can download the PDF here.
