The University of Papua New Guinea will mark its 50th anniversary in November this year with a conference looking to the future of higher education in the country.

The 50 Years Celebration Conference will provide an opportunity for alumni, citizens and stakeholders to exchange ideas about the university and its future in order to pave strategic directions for the next 50 years. Discussions will look at the implications of global higher education reform on the university, the challenges and progress made, program structure and development and the future of UPNG.

A call for papers is currently open, with abstracts due by 30 April. For more details, view the conference flyer here, or visit UPNG’s new website.
