UPNG to mark 50th anniversary with higher ed conference

The University of Papua New Guinea will mark its 50th anniversary in November this year with a conference looking to the future of higher education in the country.
The 50 Years Celebration Conference will provide an opportunity for alumni, citizens and stakeholders to exchange ideas about the university and its future in order to pave strategic directions for the next 50 years. Discussions will look at the implications of global higher education reform on the university, the challenges and progress made, program structure and development and the future of UPNG.

Ashlee Betteridge
Ashlee Betteridge was the Manager of the Development Policy Centre until April 2021. She was previously a Research Officer at the centre from 2013-2017. A former journalist, she holds a Master of Public Policy (Development Policy) from ANU and has development experience in Indonesia and Timor-Leste. She now has her own consultancy, Better Things Consulting, and works across several large projects with managing contractors.
