Abstract:
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon Penny Wong, asked the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade to inquire into the role of Australia’s international development program in preventing conflict.
Development Policy Centre Senior Researcher Dr Cameron Hill contributed four recommendations for future investment including a focus on the near region, aid effectiveness, risk analysis and strengthening DFAT’s ability to engage with evidence-based approaches to development and conflict prevention.
