Abstract:
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon Penny Wong, asked the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade to inquire into the role of Australia’s international development program in preventing conflict.
Development Policy Centre Senior Lecturer Nematullah Bizhan contributes four recommendations looking at aid modality, aid allocation, strengthening public dialogue and investing in the study of conflict within Australian institutions.
