G20: Issues of importance for developing countries and Indonesia’s role

Sri Mulyani Indrawati is Managing Director, The World Bank.
She is responsible for the Bank’s operations in Latin America and the Caribbean, East Asia and the Pacific, and the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank in June2010, Sri Mulyani served as Indonesia’s Minister of Finance. In this capacity she guided the economic policy of one of the largest countries in Southeast Asia, and one of the biggest states in the world, successfully navigating through the global economic crisis, implementing key reforms and earning the respect of her peers internationally.
The Development Policy Centre, Crawford School of Economics and Government, in association with theAustralia-Indonesia Institute and the Crawford School’s Indonesia Project are honored to host this noted reformer and economist.
Sri Mulyani has earned a reputation as a campaigner against corruption and for the success of her economic policy during her time as Indonesian Finance Minster, for which she was named best finance minister in Asia by Emerging Market Forum.
