Education effectiveness and collaboration forum: Building partnerships for better aid effectiveness, improved results and inclusive education
Presentation/s:
The Education Effectiveness and Collaboration Forum promoted dialogue between the different actors involved in development assistance to the education sector – NGOs, donors, education providers, researchers and the private sector – on how more effective partnership can advance quality education for all children in the Asia Pacific region.
Education is considered the ‘flagship’ of the Australian aid program. With a commitment increasing to $5 billion between now and 2015 Australia will become one of the top five bilateral donors for education.
The forum considered the implications of lessons learned from recent research and thinking on aid effectiveness in relation to improving the quality of education learning and the way partnerships can be developed in support of this.
This event was organised by Save the Children Australia and the Development Policy Centre. It was supported by the Australian National Institute of Public Policy and the HC Coombs Policy Forum with funding from the Australia Government under the ‘Enhancing Public Policy Initiative’.
