The National Capital District Commission (NCDC) in PNG and UN Women are jointly organising a conference on 19-20 October 2017 in Port Moresby to discuss projects and initiatives to improve safety in cities around the Pacific.
The conference offers a platform for diverse stakeholders working towards urban safety in the region to exchange success stories and lessons learnt. There will also be working sessions where participants can develop contextually-relevant solutions together. Further to this, the conference aims to serve as a networking space to foster productive partnerships between civil society, government and academia, to work in a coordinated and collaborative manner towards safer cities.
We are pleased to invite representatives from organisations to present at this conference. Please see this poster for more details, or contact Christina Cheong at christina.cheong@unwomen.org. We look forward to receiving your presentation abstracts by the deadline of 31 March 2017, and will send out information for conference participants shortly.
