From Apelis D Wura on Against amending the Constitution to make PNG a Christian country
Do amendments on Christianity in PNG in accordance with the interest of our own citizens and not outside interest.
From Susan Crabtree on Midwifery and maternal health in Papua New Guinea
Thank you Rebecca for all your hard work. Yes, all women in your country have a right to quality care and support during pregnancy, birth and during recovery and breastfeeding.
I have so much admiration for all the work the team does for quality care.
From Gerard Dogimab on Against amending the Constitution to make PNG a Christian country
Dr Oge you are right on point. Those so called salvation propagators must know that religion and politics never mix. We only have to learn from history to know the evils of Medievial Crusades and Inquisition ignited by the insistence of those who wanted a certain faith to become the state religion.
And our fore fathers who drafted the Constitution knew that well. So lets respect them and appreciate the uniqueness of our Constitution and respect the freedom of choice of life for all citizens.
From Kanau Iobuna on Against amending the Constitution to make PNG a Christian country
The constitution is well thought out and covers world best practises, allows us to do things the PNG way, customized to our customs and is geared for the benefit of PNG yesterday, today and tomorrow. Our biggest problem is that we inherited white man laws that were not aligned to our constitution after gaining Independence. PNG needs total REFORM of our implementation laws to align with the constitution and the organic laws. Then and only then will PNG BE TRULY TAKEN BACK in that context
From Rebecca Ladam on Midwifery and maternal health in Papua New Guinea
Interesting article, we're all here as a team to strive to improve the quality of the maternal health care in Papua New Guinea. One team, one goal, one achievement. For the better of our country women.
From Samson Koity on Against amending the Constitution to make PNG a Christian country
That article sinks and settles many misunderstanding especially that section of the Constitution section 45.
That was what I was struggling to figure out and here it is. Thanks so much for this clarity.

From Tire Chaser on American strategic considerations drive compact negotiations in Micronesia: part 2
FSM should keep their eyes on the SOV prize. Nothing is more important to the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the FSM than the pride and promise of the worlds newest national currency. The RMI SOV is groundbreaking and come at exactly the right time in world history.
From Jotam Sinopane on PNG’s job crisis and COVID-19
Thanks Mimin for your comments. I agree that the pandemic has and continues to affect people, businesses and economies throughout the world. Other countries are taking relief measures which smooths out the impact on people and supports businesses. If we look across the PICs, most have taken some actions and ‘real’ support has been provided. Unfortunately, this is not the case in PNG. The immediate proposed relief- 20% or PGK10,000 max upfront payment of retirement benefits to unemployed Superfund members was not implemented for 6-months now. This was due to the deferral of the amendment of the Superannuation Act. It’s a sad reality for the people. Thanks
From Mimin on PNG’s job crisis and COVID-19
There have been many impacts due to the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is the increase in unemployment. Companies that are trying to survive to keep going but the company's income is decreasing, not to mention the large employee salaries. So that many companies lay off their employees. This is an efficiency solution for a company not only in Papua New Guinea but around the world.
Hopefully this Covid-19 pandemic will end soon and we can live normally again, Aamiin.
